Today is the best day for me so far in hong kong. I feel myself, I feel my value, I feel my impact. I am thankful :)

27 Oct 2007

For me, one of my values is to create values for others.

And today, when I am looking at the tiring faces, all the challenging questions, all the doubts, all the cool discussions about sex and kiss, all the cool simulations, the energy, the happy faces,

I am just happy.

I feel myself, I feel my value, I feel my impact. I am thankful :)

Thank you for all trainers and all your presence.

It is because of you all that created this unique TTF experience.

Apply for facilitator for Solar 2007!!!!!!!! 4 Days left!!!!!

16 Oct 2007

The heart of success of any organization depends on its people.
No matter this organization has so many great technologies, so many fancy strategies,
No organization is able to sustain, to prosper, and grow, without committed and passionate people
You may have thousands of people with lots of competent skills in an organization
but they will leave, if they don't feel sense of belonging, or feel job satisfaction or development

AIESEC is no exception.
People is our core asset.
From the perspective that AIESEC is non-profit making,
that we don't use financial rewards as a way to attract our members who want work in AIESEC
that we don't give materialistic gifts for our members who work for us
the one and only one reason thing that keeps a member in AIESEC, is because they feel development out of it
Because they learn things, they grow and they are able develop to a person that they want to be

They love AIESEC
They are motivated to give more for AIESEC
They have a direction on what to contribution because the longer they stay in AIESEC, the more they are able to develop to a person that they want to be

Make them love AIESEC
Get them motivated
Let them discover their direction.

This is Solar 2007
Love. Motivation. Direction.
Apply as facilitator!!!
Thank you for reading

New Policy Address of HKSAR - Relevance to us?

10 Oct 2007

Yesterday, it has been a hot topic over most HK citizens about the new policy address and the future of HK in the coming 5 years. Topic is very clear: New Direction of Hong Kong. After reading part of the Policy address and the recent news updates, are we up to par to claim ourselves as "New HKers"?
http://hk.news.yahoo.com/071011/12/2hbjl.html

Translated into English for those who may not be able to read Chinese:
"New HKers" should possess the following qualities:
1.) Confident
2.) Take entire Country (China) as a perspective
3.) Care about development of the future
4.) Continuous-learning and adapt changes
5.) Having standards towards corporates and government

The qualities the our CE mentioned seems to be very fundamental but how many of the future generations would understand and even take care about the qualities that would be more long-lasting irrespective to the ever-changing world?

We mentioned a lot about technology advance, the world is flat, ICT, sustainability, generation X & Y, etc etc. What are the qualities we should possess to ensure our world grow in a sustainable and enlightening way? We have to take care of generational issues yet the transition parts are also an issue which among generations should learn and practise so as to ensure the sustainability of the future! Am I too ideal?

I love HK, as my home and root! That's why I care this place so much and I wish everyone knows this place well and how great, high-potential and qualities the people are in HK. Thanks for the past generations which made a huge effort to bring HK a better place and show to the other countries. We are the next generation already, what can we do to make this even better? A topic worth discussion as well as bringing a lot of other topics like globalization, education, diversity and inclusion, etc etc, into our topic. But again, how many of us are care about this?
